What DV/SA Advocates Need to Know about Representing Immigrant Survivors of Violence in 2023
To help train advocates for survivors of Domestic Violence or Sexual Assault, Northwest Immigrant Rights Project will be holding a virtual training on Wednesday, June 28th from 9:30am - 12:30pm and on Thursday, June 29th from 9:30am - 12:30pm. This training will include: a brief overview of the U.S. Immigration System; a review specific forms of relief available to immigrant survivors of violence; writing declarations for VAWA self-petitions, U Visas, and T Visas; and writing advocate letters of support. The training will be led by experienced NWIRP legal staff.
